At this point (about May 2005) I was fortunate enough to get Wade Smith to help me on the restoration (I traded a boat for his knowledge, muscle and skill). We fastened on the garboards and he (more than me) made a new stern post of white oak and re-bolted the dead wood forward and aft with bronze through bolts.

Covering Boards are off. Deck is all yellow pine 13/4 t thick. Found some rot on top of fashion timbers and top strake starboard. The original Yellow pine covering boards were fastened with copper boat nails as is most of the deck.
