2.   Silver Dawn, missing and info wanted:Dear Wooden Boat Rescue Foundation,

I've been trying to find information or pictures on a boat called Silver Dawn, she was docked in Rock Hall, MD in the very late 50's early 1960's.  She was at Hubbards Marina which is no longer there.  She was owned by a steel company in Pittsburgh, maybe Pittsburgh Steel or US Steel.  I was only 11 or 12 when I used to sit on the dock and watch the people having cocktail parties on the deck.  I just know she was the most beautiful boat I've ever seen before or since.  I've told my husband about her many times and would love to find info or a picture or even the boat itself.

I don't know a slip #, I remember that she was to the right side of Hubbards Restaurant and toward the back of the dock. .  I think she was white with navy blue and there was a lot of polished mahogany and steel.  I'm not sure of the actual style.  I just though of her as a cabin cruiser., but.  I was only 11 or 12 years old then.  If you can help I will be greatly appreciative..

Very truly yours,

Kay Blineburry

3.  Wooden Dory made by Lowell Boat Shop of Massachusetts

My name is Diane Stewart and I am looking for a wooden dory made by Lowell Boat Shop of Massachusetts. My grandfather Fred Tarbox worked there for  many years and I would love to find one of the dory’s. Condition does not matter. How do I post such a request on our web site?

The great guys at the boat shop gave me a copy of the Wooden Boat magazine from May/June 1992 with their story and Fred’s picture in it. There is one of the dory’s at the Adirondack Museum upstate New York and they row folks around their pond it in. Thank you Diane Stewart  rainbowsendcamping@hotmail.com

6. A.R. True Rocket.

I am looking for information on any of the A.R.True built boats.  The were built along the Merrimac

River in Amesbury Ma.  My understanding is that he built  19’, 23’ and 27’ wooden sailboats known as True Rockets.  I have 1 of 4 (local lore) 27’ that were built.  Local lore also says that the lines of these sailboats were taken from the Herreshoff 22’ Prudence – but the early one – centerboard.  Any information or contacts would be appreciated- jjling@comcast.net

8.  15' 8" sailboat 1973 in Boynton Beach, built by Arthur C. White.

I picked up a 15' 8" sailboat over eBay last weekend. It was built in 1973 in Boynton Beach, Florida, by a man named Arthur C. White. The original registry shows the boat as being home built. Contacting the people I bought it from didn't help very much. The boat's construction looks very detailed (lots of compound bevels everywhere), which leads me to believe it was a class boat or a one design boat built by this man.
Boat is flat-bottomed and has a very large centerboard trunk. The bow is curved, with a steel protective band. The rudder is a solid one-piece design. The rig is a large leg of mutton sail laced to the mast.
If you could help me at all in finding out more about this boat as I restore it, that would be awesome.

Thanks,
Kevin Griffis

16.  Lucindy   I'm looking for my father's boat or any info I can get regarding her make, model, year built or what may have become of her.  I don't even know the best sources to search.  He kept her in a slip near the Pensacola, FL Yacht Club in the 1950's.  I know he sold her prior to 1960. .

17.  I would appreciate any information in locating our 1961 Chris Craft Sea Skiff. This boat was purchased new at Browns Marina in Sandusky Ohio by my father. I believe the number is OH 8284 BC. The name was JAN BAR. She was docked at Cedar Point.

Another boat of interest would be the 1961 42' Chris Craft Custom Cruiser. I have seen only one of this model. It was at Cedar Point in the early 60's at the guest docks for just a short period.

I am refurbishing my 1961 32' Chris Craft Connie at this time. It is a true labor of love.

Many Thanks,
