Click here for an Article  that included pictures of Bandit just after her original launch date.

From the original listing:

My father has a wooden boat that he purchased a while back to restore but his job will not allow him enough time. He has asked me to try and find
someone to take it - he is hoping to find someone who will restore it rather than chop it up.

It is a Sound Interclub hull number 13 - named 'Bandit'. It is stored under a tent structure in his back yard in Dedham Massachusetts. I believe he
has accumulated more than a full set of hardware. It needs extensive restoration.  The reason I write is it is a very similar boat to the one featured here: http://www.woodenboatrescue.org/Adams_Interclub_restoration_log.htm  Similar in year, look and beginning condition (although the deck is not in as good a condition as this one was).
I was curious if you might know how to get in touch with Donald Salisbury to see if he wanted another project. Or, if you know of anyone else.
Circumstances dictate that we move the boat in the next couple of weeks and I know he will be upset if something he loves turns in to firewood...
Hope you can help. I can try and take pictures this weekend and post them on your free boat listing but I have a feeling it will not be claimed in our tight time frame that is a necessity.

Also, in the book 'Sailing Craft' by Edwin Schoettle, it has a chapter on the Sound Interclub. I am trying to get it scanned as it has some line
drawings and photos that might help. It also has information on the original owners of the 27 made. You can see the information on Bandit and a
photo of her with caption: "Bandit finished third in class championship both in 1926 and 1927. This boat is always among the leaders."

Also, if you go to the Mystic Seaport site, you can see that they have plans from the Charles D. Mower Collection. These plans appear to include those for the Sound Interclub (designed by Mower):  http://www.mysticseaport.org/library/manuscripts/coll/spcoll009/spcoll009.html  It would be a real shame to see this go to waste.

Pictures will follow in subsequent emails

If you look at the attached PDF file, it is a chapter I scanned from a book we had about the Sound Interclub class. In has information on the boat, its
designers and the original owners. You can see line drawings and pictures of 'Bandit' from the 1920s.

Again, thanks for all of your help with this. I really appreciate it. My father has to move the boat very soon and will be very sad if he has to
destroy her.

Lastly, I mentioned your course to my brother and he seemed interested. Is it too late to sign up? I am not sure if he could make it but I told him I
would get more information.

Thanks again,
Jon
